Restored Through Grace Community Initiative Program is designed to provide general victim assistance services to individuals who reside within the southern sector of Dallas County (i.e. Duncanville, DeSoto, Cedar Hill, and Lancaster). The general victim assistance direct services are: Licensed Therapy Counseling Services, Crisis Intervention Services, Referral and Intake Services, Case Management, Case Coordination, and Peer Support Groups. Treatment will be tailored to meet the individual needs of each client in order to ensure a personalized stabilization plan and to help the healing process. Our aim is to help victims process through the emotional, physical, and psychological damage caused by the victimization process. more succinct space.
Restored Through Grace offers immediate, short-term help to individuals who experience an event that produces emotional, mental, physical, and behavioral distress or problems. The services provide aim to reduce the intensity of an individual’s emotional, mental, physical and behavioral reactions during a crisis, as well as, help the individual return to the level of functioning they were at before the crisis. Types of activities that will be offered include, safety planning, hotline counseling, transportation and accompanying victims to the police and/or hospital visits are provided.

Peer Support Group provides opportunities for survivors to meet and provide support to each other; and provide self-help advocacy, education and emotional support in a safe judgement free environment. Case conferencing is an integral part of the care coordination process.

Through counseling, therapists will provide victims with an increased sense of safety and security. This will be achieved by treatment methods which help clients regain a sense of self, including increased self esteem and ability to function in the community. This results in the client feeling more secure in their lives, and can reduce the incidence of re-victimization. Therapists will help victims process through the emotional, physical, and psychological damage caused by the victimization process. Research has shown that victims of violent and/or sexual trauma show increased levels of anxiety, depression, anger and have trouble maintaining regular social, leisure and work lives. Counseling will help victims work through these issues by providing a safe and structured therapeutic environment.
